Foreclosures fell in Topeka in November, and data from RealtyTrac suggest they could be down again in the future.

In November, a total of 327 homes were in some stage of the foreclosure process, meaning the owner had received a pre-foreclosure filing, the home was set to go to auction or it had been reclaimed by the foreclosing bank, according to RealtyTrac.

Filings were down 33 percent compared to October, and 89 percent compared to November 2012. There was one foreclosure filing for every 6,928 homes in Topeka. November foreclosure data weren’t available for the rural areas of Shawnee County.
